The External Advisory Committee consists of 5-7 individuals not currently employed by member organizations with significant experience in commercial Pharma related to assessing and choosing candidates for product development investments, in private foundations, and in government with experience related to health policy, intervention initiative development and funding.

The Committee’s role is to provide oversight to:

• the WAVA organizational structure, strategic directions, policies and major operating principles;
• the operation of the WAVA core leadership and core services in comparison to current industry “best practices” in product development, deployment and assessment;
• the WAVA-supported projects at critical milestones and the next development phase.
