About Us
The Washington Vaccine Alliance (WAVA) is a nonprofit consortium formed in April 2007 to accelerate the research and development pathway for vaccines. WAVA’s purpose is to establish a shared translational research infrastructure to provide access to interdisciplinary expertise, link facilities, and build collaborations across institutions.
Mission
Our mission is to create a lasting infrastructure to help researchers and partners take vaccines across the “valley of death” from basic research to a product development stage.
Objective
Our objective in advancing these research efforts is to assist in attracting investment for the remaining testing, licensure, and production efforts necessary for the timely use of vaccines for urgent, unmet medical needs.
